Future Domain SCSI controller in a A2k?
« on: August 01, 2006, 11:05:01 PM »
Just wondering if this could be done, and if it would be worth it.. IE would it be any better than the GVP Impact SeriesI+2 card that I have currently installed..  Merely curious...  Bout the only ISA card I still have laying around :)

No.  THe ISA slots on the A2000 are not directly usable from the Amiga side.  You can probably use it from the PC side of a bridgeboard.
Time to move on.  Bye Amiga.org.  :(

You would need a driver for it, if using something like a GoldenGate2 bridgecard, such driver does not exist. ISTR someone was writing a GG2 driver for the Adaptec 1540 ISA card, but it never surfaced.

Oh, and the GG2 didn't support ISA DMA mode, which made life even slower. And thats before you consider that getting 16bit cards to work could be tricky...
