Jimbo:
That SX-1 auction includes the rare FMV. I sold the FMV with
manuals and original box for 202 USD last fall on eBay.

Sure, 300 GBP sounds abit too much but someone will probably
buy it.

It is not bad price. Three years ago I sold my BPPC and BVision for 200e (about 140 GBP) and it was the cheapest possible BPPC (040/25+603/175).

This one sold in eBay has got 060/50+603/240 and both BPPC and BVision cards are getting rare...

There is one error though. It should read BPPC/BVision with A1200 rather than A1200 with BPPC/BVision :-P

Should add it probably would sell better in parts than all parts together. I find it unlikely anyone would buy a complete system in 2006...

But it has ro be said, that a SX-1 with 8MB Fastmem won't work together with the FMV-Modul. The FMV will take away 4MB Fastmem-space for his own memory.

AND you need a stong PSU with both expansions connected.

3rdly. The price is IMHO to high

@ thread,

I agree, it's way too expensive for what it is.
I agree it's the way of the free market.
I agree, supply is low, demand is high, prices become inflated.

I would not buy one, I'd run an emulator. HW is better, faster and will do more under emulation. Sad but true.

Ok, I'd buy one via proxy lol! I'd feel sorry for the proxy though ;)
It's not the question, that is the problem, it is the problem, that is the question.

I would love to see someone make these old PPC cards again, I'm sure they would make a pretty good lick!
I think the prices are way to high too but, I wanted a PPC for my A4000D and look here http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8827401836&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1

So If I was crazy enough to pay that then.. You can't really say that, if people will pay crazy prices for that stuff(like me) then ole' well...

Appears not, he relisted it again but this time wanted 350UKP.  Again it didn't sell, finally he has the FMV listed on its own at 160UKP and again it didn't sell.

Appears the market has spoken and these things aren't worth that much now!

Wow $565 for a card sold 'as-is' 'untested' 'no warranty'.  Some people are just begging to get burned.  They could just be buying a nice paperweight...

sometimes people thimks " hey if its broken, i can fix it!"

unfortunately with this kind of boards is rare (and the card would cost less than 1/4 of that price)

This price is just insane, if you ask me!

the auction said it was running a while ago but he has no way to test it now, i would bid on it.

as long as this stuff isnt going into the trash i think its all good. we can complain about prices all we want but at least we have something to complain about. the points been made before but it bears repeating: something is only worth what people will pay for it, and someone did. it wasnt worth that to you or i but it was to someone.
Oh yeah?!?
Well your stupid bit is set,

"the auction said it was running a while ago but he has no way to test it now, i would bid on it."

exactly the same "standard" reply a got when i purchased my first CSPPC.

"yeah! it worked last time i checked!" pity that was 2 ywars before.

Superfluous to say thats mine lasts 2 weeks or so :-( (received with the PPC fan broken, hence....)

Edit- ah obviously i hope for the buyer that is full working but if it isn't and/or it works only sometimes (intermittent boot and so) my suggestion is don't use it in that state, Try to fix it or send it for repair (even if its the 060 socket badly soldered).

Using it in that state, will lands in problems for the PPC as well
