I forgot my Apple Newton MP2000 and my Texas Instruments graphingcalculators TI-92,89,86,85,82.
see http://www.ticalc.org

Newton is a real PDA(personal Digital Assistant) it even wakes up at night an tidy up our agenda

"4) Why does my Newton wake up at 3 AM?

(From Robert Sexton's FAQ) The Newton wakes up to move your Todos over from yesterday, and do other housekeeping."

http://www.planetnewton.com/FAQ/newton-faq-hardware.html#IIC4
Apple did it right the first time, bring back the Newton!

Wow, took me a long time to get back to this thread to see what had become of it. I really enjoyed reading this. I was surprised to see that there were still Amiga onlies in the world simply because there is so much computing equipment available for so little these days. For e.g. I have a 486/Linux machine for my firewall webserver, that my A4000PPC sits behind. The wife has a couple of Macs on the network, my tenant has a PC plugged in, I have the work PC, and the Zaurus is on wireless, but I still love my Miggy (love it like I love my guitar). Still haven't been able to feel that way about another computer.

But reading these posts has made me all toasty inside. It's also really nice to see posts from people who I had not seen before. Thanks everyone.

What about TFX? :-)

The only things keeping me on my PC are Photoshop (an AmigaONE and MOL would sort that) and WinUAE :-)

I would be using my A1200 100% but my present isp isn't compatible, the new HD last 2 partitions are corrupted again an now I'm moving. I'm planning to install it into a tower from
http://www.dvsdirect.com/site/amigaproductsdvs.htm/
but am going for knee revision surgery next month and that will postpone that.
I have [1] A500, [2] A1000's, [1] A1200, [1] A2500 w/VT2.0 and like most of us have much h/w & s/w. The pc is one big game machine but a good backup until I can get my Amiga up and going full-time again.
I wear my Amiga apparel, display the Amiga clock and boast proudly about my excellent machine. :-D

Are there still people here who have only one computer and it's an Amiga and are feeling trapped by it?

Up until a year ago I only had my Amiga(s), not counting my old C=64.

I didn't feel trapped in any way but there were a few things that my Amiga couldnt offer that I wanted. Some of the new games appealed a lot to me, GP4 for example, and even if I had spent countless hours with F1 GP on my Amiga it wasn't as fun any longer.

I also wanted the possibility to view movies and everyone knows that an old 040/40 can barely handle a small mpg without sound and make it viewable.

BUT, the thing that actually made me go buy the Athlon XP 1800 was Amithlon. If it hadn't been for Amithlon I would probably still have had just my old Amigas running.

I'm still using my A4000 quite much actually. Besides using the PC for movies, it mainly runs linux or Amithlon, and since I haven't been able to connect to the net with Amithlon until just now (RTL-8139) I used my A4k to surf the net...

Don't think I will abandon my Amigas either, I have a lot of fun with them still, and I even run debian woody on it :)

So... I'm far from  abandoning!
