This reminds me of a summer job I had at NASA a few years ago (no lie). Basically a contract was rolling up, and I was in charge of stripping PCs down, removing and erasing then physically destroying any HD's less than 10gb, building new "good" ones from the parts (min. spec P200 w/128mb RAM - that's no lie either). Anyway, as the contract began to wind down, more esoteric computers began to come across my bench. So one day, this box gets put down on the table and what do you know? Inside are TWO SGI Indy workstations (32mb ea. 800mb HD, no external media) and a NewTek A2000 (an a2000 with an 030 card, a Toaster, and I think a 200mb HD).
I asked if I could have the lot of them, but the supervisor told me I'd have to bid on them at the gov't. auction same as everyone else.

Broke my heart to yank the HD out of the Ami and nuke it. I told them that the SGIs wouldn't function, period, without the HDs so they let me put them back in but I had to totally erase them with "gdisk.exe" (nine-pass 0-byte writer).
