So, you want to tell that all these positive reports from the guy (Morgoth), who tested the OpenPCI RTL8139 driver in Mediator were fake?

No. It wasn't all that stable though. I actually talked about the matter with Morgoth himself.

And all these messages from the OpenPCI author (Titan) on the Mediator ML, where he wrote how fast RTL8139 works in Mediator with his OpenPCI 8139 driver, were fake too?

No. Fast is not necessarily stable, however.

The openpci rtl8139 is based on my SANA2 driver framework. The driver had some serious bugs that were fixed after Mediator support was banned by Elbox, ergo the driver could not have worked stable then.

So yes, you claiming the driver was running stable over two years go is bs. Yes you tjaoz, liar.

@x56h34

Just because tjaoz names Morgoth reporting something, it a) does't mean tjaoz's talking the 100% truth b) doesn't mean the guy is with Elbox.

Morgoth is a very cool guy and nothing like this liar and cheater tjaoz.

Anyway, this thread is about Prometheus not Mediator. So this is hopefully my last OT post to this thread.

Thanks for answering my questions. A final question I forgot to ask - what is your e-mail address?

Thanks

Are you joining the Elbox-phobia mob? :-)

I understand you throwing yourself upon me as the Titan's driver for RTL8139 started working stable few months later than two years ago?

You are funny. If there was a serious error in the OpenPCI driver for RTL8139 in July 2002, throw your anger at Titan. He at that time (over 2 years ago) announced in public that his driver for RTL8139 worked in his Mediator stable, though too slow.

Getting back to the point: How do you explain that RTL8139 cards with the OpenPCI driver since many months have been working stable in Mediator, and are not working in Prometheus?

Why don't you start thinking about psycho treatment?

Prometheus with the latest firmware has working DMA.

And Individuals' Buddha supports PIO-3 and PIO-4. ;-)

Why are you cheating your customers?

Do you want to show that hardware offered by you is so superior but Amiga developers are stupid and cannot write stable working drivers?

You know well that the developers' docs for Prometheus has been available in the Matay site for over 3 years. If the Prometheus' hardware allowed __stable___ work of PCI cards in the busmaster mode, some drivers for Fast Ethernet or sound or USB or TV tuners would have come up long ago.

You're pathetic. Keep it up. People see through your lies.

Put up or shut up. Demonstrate a stable OpenPCI 8139 driver in a mediator.

Oh wait, you can't!
