So, gents...is this Kylwalda the real deal then? To work with non-dos disks? And more importantly is it current or no longer produced?

@X-ray

If you by "real deal" mean "works flawlessly" then yes. I have one, and it works like a charm... It´s just like having an original Amiga drive in there... Note: If you want to boot from a PC HD floopy drive AND use high-density disks in your Amiga, you will need BOTH a Catweasel and a Kylwalda.

@ Orjan...

Ah, I think I'm beginning to understand here. (Sometimes I'm a bit thick)  :-P

So, who sells the Kylwalda?

The Catweasel MK4 will have it built in, but this will only be usefull to you if you own an Amiga 3000 or 40000 with a Prometheus. I'll see if I can stock it next time I order from Individual Computers, though as a stand alone they may be sold out. I'll find out. Until then, i don't know off the top of my head any store with them in stock?

Thanks, Red.

My aim here is to future-proof my Amiga.
I'm also looking for a PIcasso Mk IV. I'm not after performance, just want to make sure that I don't have to rely on an Amiga monitor, but don't want to lose AGA modes.

Its weird 'upgrading' merely to ensure that a computer survives.

@X-ray

You don´t have to plug it to a monitor... You can plug it to a tv aswell... :)

@ Orjan..
Yep, I have a black Amitek modulator, but I don't want to rely on that too much either.
