Come on Trezzer, just smoke a bigger bowl and be happy.  We really need to tone down the negatives within our community.  What has Genesi done against you?  If they have, seek legal recourse just like the URL I posted for those seeking legal recourse in not getting goods from Amiga Inc.

Now if you just got a personal beef with Genesi or  it's owners, time to get over it.  Hell, if I can toned way down my vocal dislike of Amiga Inc, you can do it as well with Genesi.   The reason we all need to do this, we need unity in the community if any of these companies are going to survive.  Times are very tough in the tech business, and I don't see them getting better any time soon, do you?

So can the Amiga Community count on you?

Yes. But I don't see Genesi as part of it. They are Amiga-related due to their level of compatibility, but they are not going to bring AmigaOS forward. Instead they are going to push their own proprietary solution, which is fine - I just wish they'd stand on their own two feet instead of on the backs of others.

As it is now, MorphOS is NOT ready to be shown to the world unless it has been radically improved since I saw it 2 months ago. Something I seriously doubt. That's why I'm asking Buck to not drag the Amiga name into it or to at least make sure the machine only runs stable apps. Otherwise we'll instantly be the laughing stock of the entire industry - the Amiga community will be, that is. If MorphOS was a mature product I'd have far less against it - well other than the fact that I dislike their entire strategy, but at least it wouldn't hurt the Amiga name if a good product was out there claiming to be related to Amiga (even if it isn't). Before you go on about it actually being so I'll remind you that other boxes are planned. MorphOS will also not be BeOS when it has that compatibility later. Nor will it be Linux when it gains THAT layer. Just as it isn't AmigaOS now with the A/Box.

That's my main complaint. If you're gonna make it: make it on your own instead of at the cost of others.
