I got a BPPC 060/210/SCSI with BVision setup and a CSPPC 060/200 with CVision setup. currently considering scratching the BPPC setup but it has more ram than the CSPPC so kind of confused ... I placed an order for OS4 which I hope to pay for in a few days.
I believe in mt. Fuji

Now it is almost a joke.

Only thing that is joke in OS4 is that it tries to be a commercial product.  I bet that no one would whine about it if OS4 were just an opensource OS-project for very rare computers (which BPPC-Amigas are).

Is the OS4 pointless and useless for most of the people (for those who don't have PPC-Amiga)? Yeah sure, but so what?
I could save Aeon, but she will not come. Who will save me?

I understand what you are saying. But after waiting all this time I'd prefer to laugh at the joke it has been rather than feel the insulted sucker that I would have felt had it never been released at all.

I wasn't really referring to you (sorry, I know you're the OP). You already owned one of those things - that's different. To you it's just a cool extra for £60.. which is fair enough. :-)

But to the users who don't own one already, if they really want to run the OS it's more like £360+ which is a joke for an OS like this, especially considering that the card is pre-owned, old and prolly had many users!

Someone mentioned above about it trying to be commercial which is the joke - well I agree but what is even worse is that it doesn't even do the commercial thing fully by there not being either enough PPC cards or AmigaOnes to go around.

They run MorphOS though.

It's on my 'To do' list to check out this MorphOS. Prehaps an A4000 that could boot into OS3.9, OS4 or MorphOS

No, you have an ARM in there... not a PPC.

No BZPPC or CSPPC, but...

* 1.25Ghz 7447 v1.2 (Mac Mini G4).

* Turbo601 PPC: http://web.archive.org/web/19970615192834/http://www.daystar.com/Upgrades/Trb601.html (for Mac IIs - the equivalent of a BZPPC or CSPPC - MUCH more rare than either of those. Got two! I'd trade one for a CSPPC or BZPPC, but hardcore Mac fans are few and far in between, hehehe)

* Bunch of G3 Macs and accelerator boards. If you're in need, let me know.

Now, if I had an Amiga PPC board I'd use it primarily for OS4.0, MorphOS, programming (probably something OpenGLish, datatypes/decoders/encoders, drivers, porting from Linux-world or other open source stuff, secret trans-gaming project), and of course media playback (music, video), Doom & Quake.

Yep. I'll use it for tracker, music making that I've always done on the Amiga. I may look into some programming (web) if I  can get things to run satisfactorily.

Beside my specs below I run these bits too:

Pro MIDI interface (2 outs, 2 thru, 1 in)
DVD Rom
4 way buffered IDE interface
160 GB IDE Drive
Oh yeah and now running both  3.9 and 4.0C Amiga OS
