I've got a 603e 240Mhz and a Bvision in my A1200... but I very much doubt It will ever run OS4... I simply don't want to waste money on a useless piece of software.

I also have a Power G4 1.5Ghz but that will be running Leopard next month :-)

I have 2 phase5 csppc's, one 200 and the other 233mhz, both 060/50 ...
I am enjoying them ATM, they are just brilliant... can't wait for my copy of OS4 to arrive... if only they added g-rex4000 support so I can use it on both my 4000's...

2 Cyberstorm PPC's here, one is a 060/60 604e/233 in my A4000 mediator tower

Other is a 060/50 604e/200,originally a 040 board that i converted.

I use them for everything from viewing mpeg video, audio, datatypes, pdf viewing, vhi studio, fxpain and scan. looking forward to os4 "IF" it really is released. Hope for some decent mediator support.

I just can't understand what kind of release is this amiga os 4.0 .I have an amiga 1200 with an apollo 68040 and 16mbytes of ram.I would love to have an ppc amiga but money is an issue for me.

I would NOT give 1000 euros for an A1 machine.(on ebay usually that is the price it goes).Or give 400+ euros for an old ppc that runs at 200/233 mhz.

Is the new sam ever going to support amiga os 4.0 ?What is going on with the licence from hyperion?

If sam supports os 4.0 i might consider to get.Otherwise i am better with my windows xp sp2 machine, and uae and aros.

Also in the greatest moment of amiga history after the close of commodore, what is Amiga inc doing? They are making releases of Amiga games on pocket pc and windows instead of making new machines?

Hyperion guys are heroes...Amiga inc is the same terrible guys we know...

too bad.......

I too would never spend $500US for a used, ten year old PPC card that had been through the hands of several owners.

I might pay that though for a brand new card --- come on new hardware!

Do you honestly think you could buy a NEW card for 500 bucks, even if they were being manufactured?
It'd be nice, but I seriously doubt it!

If an MKII 060 Cyberstorm can sell for this kind of Dollaridge, It will be someone elses money that does!  ;-)

Have a BPPC.
Use the Miggy as my main machine so it gets used for everything that will use it.
Have ordered OS4.0, so it will be interesting to see what the performance is like compared to OS3.9.

Well, what you are missing is the fact that these old 060/PPC boards are selling for such high prices on Ebay is precisely because they are no longer being manufactured.  Therefore they are rare, and there is a clamour for one every time it appears in an auction.  Hence: madness.

The inflated Ebay prices do not reflect that actual manufacturing cost to do a run of modern PPC cards using current components.

Having newly made PPC boards on the market might even bring some sanity back to the prices for the old PPC boards - as there wouldn't be as much demand.

With the Crap dollar exchange rate it isn't any more than cards I have sold in the past in British pounds or Euros.
