With the grain to start with, and then against the grain.
Oh and definitely don't go hacking against the grain around that sensitive bit around the Adam's apple

Sorry, I was bored last night and indulged in a little thread necromancy - finding threads that missed me first time around... :-D

I'm assuming you still shave elsewhere, so with or against the grain? I go with the grain mainly because it itches less when it grows back.

Oh no, I know where this one's going....

oh...THAT!
well, one can use NAIR
just don't leave it on longer than it says to (usually 4 minutes)

and i shave my legs against the grain.

I assumed that you'd grabbed the opportunity to link that ball hair trimmer again...but I was mistaken!

I thought a hairy back had the birds eating out of the palm of your hand?

I dunno , but beards are often mourned

I remember a few years ago, a friend of mine who'd had a beard  since he was able to grow one, shaved it off. Down at the pub, they refused to serve him till he grew it back; no word of a lie!
Everyone told him to grow the beard back, so he did.

Becoming permanently pockmarked by laser pulses whilst laying back and thinking of England is a bizarre scenario. I'm not sure if its because its 5.30 am and I haven't slept yet....

For some reason, shaving my face is like shaving the Rocky Mountains, no matter which way I shave I always miss a spot, then I keep running the razor over the same spot in different directions trying to get the last bit of hair, then my skin ends up turning all red and sore, I just can't win :-x :-x :-x

BTW...thats one of the reasons I started this thread in the first place...

Oh yeah, I know exactly what you mean. I find that even though I've been shaving properly for about seven or eight years now, I still cut myself nine times out of ten, and get the tough bits under the chin. There's nothing like rubbing alcohol into open wounds ('to reinvigorate the senses' or some advertising speel) after the deed is done, only to find, as you're appling the aftershave, that you've missed a bit!

You see this is why its better not to have a suit and tie job - you don't have to shave every day! :-)
