With or against...
« on: May 28, 2004, 01:26:25 AM »
...the grain, what is the best way to shave? Personally I prefer against. Sorry, but its a dull, wet and overall boring Friday morning, this is the best I could come up with

With the grain, if the hair is long. Against it to clean up and get the stubble. Wax if it's not anywhere on your head.

If you don't follow my advice, then this can happen to you.

Try both, one way on one side of the face, another way on the other. :P

With the grain to start with, and then against the grain.
Oh and definitely don't go hacking against the grain around that sensitive bit around the Adam's apple

I'm assuming you still shave elsewhere, so with or against the grain? I go with the grain mainly because it itches less when it grows back.

Yeah, for a second it feels like you've got away with it and then the pain hits you like a thousand needles leaving you squealing in pain at your reflection in the bathroom mirror before splashing cold water on your face and trying not to cry like a baby.

It's a manly feeling alright.
