I suppose you mean fat95 in SYS:L. It is necessary in order for the amiga to recognise drives that have been formated in a PC or sth? In case fat95 doesn't exist in the system, won't there be an icon of a non recognised drive shown? I mean the drive should appear anyway, either readable or readable? I'm saying this cause i already shoved a pc formated usb stick and nothing appeared on screen.

Unfortunately still nothing happens whatever the effort! Guess i'll have to contact Amigakit. I don't want to think that after all this it's the hardware to blame!  :-(  :-(

Yes indeed!!! But that's what i'm trying to do, to get some help in order to find what the user is doing wrong. ;-)

Sorry for being such a tiring person with the same problem again but still no luck. Re-read the manual and guide, did everything as described, saved config (psdstackloader) in ENVARC but now i get the following message in error log:

Failure poseidon.library
Opening DEVS:USBHardware/subway.device unit 0 failed device/ unit failed

Hope that helps a bit! Any ideas please?

First of all my miggy isn't connected to the net so copy/paste is out of question.

What i wrote is an exact  copy of the errorlog so it's pretty much the same. The device hasn't been typed by hand. I have selected it using the requester.

I see that i might have to make a fresh partition and re-install 3.9 + bb1 and 2 just in case. I remember installing Poseidon once but maybe during the first installation i did sth wrong that remained in the system so then everything goes wrong.

Also i remember having connected the Subway!!! I'm not so ignorant, but let me put this straight: not everybody around here is an amiga expert so whoever thinks that some question is silly he won't bother to answer. I could have mailed you but i prefered to make this public in order for someone having similar problems in the future to find solutions and not open a new thread.  ;-)

Thanx for your time anyway  :-)

I see. Unfortunately you just didn't see my point! I was tempted to answer because of the last part of your post. If this is your last attempt to help me then be my guest. Whoever wanted to help me did it because he saw that i had a problem either this was due to my ignorance or software/hardware reasons. For instance Keropi and Darrin kindly offered to help through PM's and didn't make a fuss of it. I just sent you a pm asking for help as you are the person behind Poseidon. I din't know that this is a crime and that you only answer officialy (sic) to e-mails!

As for the fact that i didn't  "thoroughly read the posts and half of them  were caused by me not reading and doing exactly what was written" then i should say that i really had a hard time reading all the posts 1000 times because i didn't want to annoy people in here with the same questions. I insisted on using "unarc" against your advice cause i simply found out that this WASN'T the problem but the fact that i hadn't installed BB2 in my system (which eventually did when i thought of  and solved the problem)

As for the possible steps/solutions (?) i have to say that this afternoon i freshly installed 3.9 + bb1/2 and tried everything as described by you today. The result???? Guess what: pretty much the same with teh messages before. Anyway, whoever is willing to help me without asking me not to ask....silly things, please do so.

In fact as i wrote before this is a community forum where not everybody is experts. Is this a crime? Nah!

In the end of all this, let me tell you that it's not a personal debate between us 2 of course, but since you have been ironic towards me then i think i had to protect myself and most of all continue to ask what i'm really lookung for.....a solution to my problem.

Thanx again and a big sorry to all for this loooooong post   :-)  :-)

Since reinstalling software and trying again and again hasn't offered any solution so far, i decided to check if the thing works in OS4. Any idea on how i will install it? Does it need any extra configuration? Is Poseidon necessary in OS4 or installing it won't make the subway work? I believe that OS4 has a built in usb stack but will it collaborate with subway just out of the box or does it need tweaking? I tried yesterday but i suppose that i have to do that extra thing that i'm missing right now. Any OS4 users with USB please?

Hi there Michael. I have to state some things to the knowledge of everybody. First of all Michael (E3B) is a really helpful guy that has responded literally immediately to every mail i sent him. The subway card that misbehaves with my clockport is on its way to E3B for further testing. Amigakit also have responded to my "calls" for help.

I will have to repeat that the thread here was opened because i thought that the subway wasn't working due to a software failure or something that someone else has encountered in the past. I have always found useful advice and helpful people in all the amiga forums. I didn't come directly to you because i really know how busy you are, so if it was sth simple i could have solved it without disturbing you. Anyway, now i know that direct contact is better.

Hope that i'll have good news soon and i'm pretty sure this issue will be sorted out.

Btw "Real life" and "private life" too goes for everybody. :-)  :-)

Cheers

As Michael stated the problem was the lack of 2 pins fom my miggy's clockport. Anyway, Michael kindly prepared a custom cable which has been received and everything works great now. I should also mention what a helpful person Michael (E3B) has been and of course fast as well. Cheers m8.
