We are once again attending Amiwest this year in October.

Who also has plans to visit this show?

I will be there!  Looking forward to buying an A1200 Tower and more from you, Matthew.

Thanks for meeting up with me in Cardiff,
Robert Bernardo

Is there anything closer to my side of the US that Amiga-type folk attend?

Unfortunately, no.  There is the Vintage Computer Festival East in New Jersey, the Cincinnati Commodore Computer Club (C4) Expo in Ohio, and the Emergency Chicagoland Commodore Convention (ECCC) in Illinois.

Are you based in Wales and do you have a "real" shop?

Matthew's shop that I saw in June was quite an eye-opener!  Lots and lots of new hardware and software (and used stuff, too).  Eventually, the photos of my visit to AmigaKit will be posted.

Before I forget, a few days ago Matthew Leaman of AmigaKit.com said that he was going to bring four Escom Amiga 1200s, new-in-the-box, to the show.

Quite remarkable to see uncirculated
A1200s when I visited AmigaKit in June,

They should do that show in Chicago, or some place more central to the rest of the country.

Kind of hard to move the Sacramento Amiga Computer Club (the host of the show) to Chicago.  :)  You'd have to find a cooperative group in your area.

Back from the AmiWest Show and SACC President Brian Deneen considers it a success.  Start planning for AmiWest 2009!

It was good to meet my Amiga friends, get my equipment updated, buy new stuff, and look at the new items coming out.

Now it's time to get my photos developed,

Time to get a digital camera, too.

Nah, not yet.  The ones I like are the Nikon digital full-frame SLRs, and those cost multi-thousands of dollars just for the body.  My Nikon N80 film SLR still does the job, and it was a few hundred when new.

Still waiting for those prices to drop,
