I dont see how it can be a stab at AW.net readers,
unless you can show how AW.net readers "fired" Ben Yoris and "threw him away like a piece of crap".

IMHO its a stab at Hyperion by Ben Yoris on incredibly shakey ground which he was forced later to retract.

Thats my opinion unless Ben Y can bring himself to answer my question about this very issue on that thread.

Ben Yoris would have been a crowd favorite to these individuals before his comment, and he is public enemy #1 to them after his comment. This could be seen as "Thrown out" :-x

Highly unlikely. Ben Yoris gets alot of respect around the place and especially in AmigaWorld.net. His diatribe was towards Hyperion and the "thrown out" and "fired" is in the same sentence.

Thrown out from an AmigaWorld website would be literally having his account deleted forcibly or less extreme being sent to coventry - neither of which happened.

Fired would mean he was on the staff of AmigaWorld and paid, which also did not happen.

So we go back to what I just said, the guy made a mess up.

Unless you can substantiate either assertion I suggest you stop attempting to brand the readers of AmigaWorld.net in such a way.

No one has demonstrated that they think he is public enemy #1 on that website, no one has demonstrated that they thought he was a crowd favourite.

As for this speculation that you just added Warface you are approaching slagging them off for the hell of it which is also uncalled for.

Firstly I did not attack SlimJim at all, I disagreed with him. Why you cannot recognise a disagreement over and above a personal attack I have no idea. The fact that you see that I disagree with people like SlimJim should show you that I am not in it for allegiance sake. Neat oversimplification of myself and my motives by Warface - very underwhelming.

Secondly it was not because he was criticising Hyperion, it was because I think that everyone has a right to reply ( if you read what was put you will notice I included Bill Buck in that ) and should not be silenced.

Thirdly, you condemned an entire sites readership based on Helgis - or the Helgis Effect. Now unless you can manage to pull a rabbit out of the hat and demonstrate with examples why you should spread your condemnation so thickly I suggest you quit with the oversimplifications.

Finally the fact that you call a discussion site readership inbreeds shows exactly at what level you are capable of debating at: Sophomore. Quit with the insults please.
