I thought IBrowse 2.3 was our saviour since Yahoo is now disabled for the rest of the browsers reading the Yahoo Mail!

Yahoo mail works fine with all Amiga browsers.

Well I have found the problem with iBrowse crashing more than Bill Gates' innovative breakthrough Windows 1.0 Beta.  The machine is overheating.  We have had some pretty warm weather here in Seattle.  Yes I know!! Hehe.  Well I had my GVP 4060 running @ 66MHz and the RAM must of been getting a little toasty.  It was running fine in the winter.  So I am rolling it back down to 50MHz and it seems to be doing fine... ;)

I've never seen it crash! :-D
It's main use was as a memory manager for Excel and word.
It also gave you the options to copy and paste between programs, and to change between programs.

It didn't really multitask either; programs were just halted when you switched to another one.

Have you seen Pirates of Silicon Valley?  It talks about Windows 1.0 being very unstable and crashing a lot.  I have never seen it myself.  But you got to admit it must of been a bear to deal with back then!  Hardly stable.

TjLaZer : instead of slowing down the speed, wouldn´t it be better to add a decent heavy cooler in an open slot, or if you have got a tower then you can use a so called ´Twin Cooler´ that has the size of a 5,25" device ... or do both !!!

@Effy

Well I put it back to 66MHz and removed the case top and it seems to be holding ok.  I have a 4000D.  I need to improve the cooling in this somehow...

Well I just installed IBrowse 2.3 today and it hasn't crashed at all, it's really wonderful.

I use Voyager 2.96.7 mainly as it's pretty stable and configurable but IBrowse 2.3 wins the day because of it's solid and unbloated feel.

eBay and Amiga.org still seem slower than sites like Aminet and BBC because I suppose the systems are much more complex when dealing with content management, but today I got my avatar up with IBrowse and I don't get trouble any longer with `;amp' appearing in URLs.

JavaScript seems better on IBrowse than on Voyager 3.3 and I trust IBrowse more as it doesn't log how long I've been using it, doesn't delay me on bootup with 2 minute `trial period', doesn't `flash modem lights' when exiting...

;-)

I'd prefer if IBrowse 2.3 gave me more control over spoofing as Mozilla/IE and integrated SSL but it seems great.

A cookie manager like Voyager 3.3 would be nice too.

Hey, do you have different speeds if you use RAM: as a disk cache or is it best to disable disk cache?

---

Oh great, IBrowse 2.3 doesn't want to access the Amiga.org message URLs...
