Am I the only one who's fed up with the countless cooking shows on TV?
I genuinely feel like strangeling Jamie Oliver, Tina Nordström (I heard she'll hit the american continent next year), and all the other morons who try to tell us how to spice up out kitchens! No more! PLEASE! :-x :pissed:

Yeah, cooking shows, home improvement programmes, gardening programmes, snooker, darts, golf, bowls and programmes about clothing.

This is what we Brits pay our TV license fee for.

I have a Jamie Oliver cook book, which is alright. But the TV shows do my head in. Partly because of his cheeky mockney speek, but mostly due to the very shakey camera work. The focus keeps changing, the camera zooms in and moves around so you can't quite see what Oliver is doing. It gives me a headache.

I reckon it's the same cameraman who did some of the battlefield scenes in Return of the King.

ROTK's battle sequences were NOT impressive for two reasons:

Way too confuse.
Too much CGI.

BTW, have you seen that new DIY program? They go around to people who`ve been inspired by DIY programs and did a complete bodge job..

And it's getting worse. Soon BBC1 will consist purely of repeats of Only Fools and Horses, BBC2 will cover the cricket and snooker 24/7, ITV will switch to a whole schedule of repeats of ultralowbrow shows like Dennis Norden/YBF/xxx from Hell/Club Rep episodes, C4 will run Big Brother all day, and C5 will give up quality programming like CSI in favour for pornumentaries.

Perhaps 'cooking shows' are reletively cheap to produce, with a reletively large audience for the price.


The simple solution is to get rid of TV.

I think that TV is a destructive thing.

I believe that people achieve much more for themselves when they're not sitting down staring at a box - like they're a zombie.
