news moderation
« on: June 13, 2004, 10:27:30 AM »
Hello,

I submitted 3 days ago a news item which was also approved:

Quote

Hello tokai,

Your submitted story "CPU Monitor 1.3 (MorphOS)" has been approved at Amiga.org.

You can view this link here:
http://www.amiga.org/modules/news/article.php?storyid=4123

...

when I checked one day later it was removed without notice. I send a pm to wayne for some clarification. I didn't got a reply until now.

I submitted the news again. It wasn't approved until now, but some other news was approved in the meanwhile so I can expect that my news will not show up.

Is there something wrong with my news? Or are MorphOS releated news are generally not allowed anymore on Amiga.org? No problem, then I will ignore a.org and post my news only on other sites, but it would be nice to let the user know at least.

regards,
tokai

Calm down calm down :-)

I think this is the first time ever that this site has been accused of being "anti MorphOS" :-P

The news item is currently in the list awaiting approval, but as I don't (ever) usually do news item approvals I'm not going to start (screwing them up?) now.

As for the disappearing news item, I'm looking into it.

@mikeymike:

thx. for looking into it.

and I didn't said it's anti-morphos, but it could be that where are reasons for not 'advertising' MorphOS. These days you nerver know what's happening behind the scenes. :-)

tokai

Aw, quit yer cryin' already...

Don't you have some apps to code, PNG icons to draw, cool websites to put up or something?!

Jeez, the nerve of some people...

BTW, before you get your testicles knotted, this is Cyber2th from IRC, and I'm only kidding. :)

Cheers, matey. ;)

@tokai

So it did get published and then it was removed?

I sure like to see the outcome of this. I am sure it is a simple thing. Right?

before someone understands this wrong (on IRC someone already did): I meant there could be (legal) reasons why MorphOS news can't be allowed anymore on a.org (I'm refering to the problems ann.lu had with links to morphzone.org and morphos-news.de). It wasn't meant aggressive towards amiga.org. Sorry if someone has interpreted it that way.

tokai

I noticed some other news items disappearing over the weekend.  Maybe someone has a cached page.
Time to move on.  Bye Amiga.org.  :(

That's bull when that's the case. This is just a news item about a program being done for MorphOS. It's not company related.

C'mon you not. You posted a news item, it got posted and then it is gone again.

So nobody has been able to figure this out? What happend? I don't want to be a pain in the ass but this really needs to be cleared of. If there is a simple reason even that should have been brought here right away. This kind of thing is not helping much.

Hi,

People, people! This is taking to long. This is a serious thing and if you just don't want to give an answer then tell that.

This stinks!
