Amiga Explorer problem!

Firs i want to say sorry for my english. I'm young and live in Sweden...

Btw, here's the firs problem:

When i'm using setup and write:

Type SER: RAM:Setup

or

Type SER: to RAM:Setup

the amiga just hangs up after the file are uploaded. I can't move the mouse or something!
That's the firs problem...

I have tried whith:

Type SER: DF0:Setup

and

Type SER: to DF0:Setup

too but when i'm trying to run the Setup whith:

DF0:Setup

the amiga says:

File is not an object module

The second problem:

When i'm uploading something whith ADF Terminal to RAM: or DF0 the Amiga says:

File is not an object module


My cable:

I got a null modem cable. I have tried whith two types. First:

regular 9pin whith a 9 to 25 convert betwen the Amiga and the cable.

Second:

on one end there is one big 25pin thing, from that it goes to cables. On one of the cables it is a 9pin thing and that cable is short. The other cable is long and on the end of that cable there is another 25pin thing.
From that 25pin things it's two cables to.
Both that one that goes to the other 25pin things that i described obove, and the other one goes to a 9pin thing too.

Right now i have one 25pin in the amiga and the 9pin thing thats it's near the other 25pin thing in the computer.


Pleas, can someone help me to solve this problem?

Try COPY instead of TYPE. It may not work that well with binary (program files),ok with ASCII. Also, check Serial Prefs to make sure speed settings are correct.

There are some good terminal programs on Aminet and you could try Cloanto's 'Amiga Explorer' program from:

It didn't work. Btw, when we are on the subject...
I have a Amiga 600 too and have heard that it's possible to read DOS floppies whith it. The problem is that i don't got CrossDOS (i got Workbench 2.0 (not 2.1)). Is it possible to read DOS floppies in some other way (whithout need for transfer any software to the amiga)?

One could always try WarTrans or whatever it's called if you have M$ basic...

if you can use crossdos, you can as well put the program 'aexplorer' on a DD disk (put tape on the extra hole of the hd disk and then -> format A: /F:720)
This program is in the cloanto directory in C:\program files
Then it probably work, I had this problem too a while ago.
