CD32 external HD power?
« on: May 31, 2004, 08:32:09 PM »
I cant seem to get my CD32/SX32 pro to use a power supply that provides enough power to the unit, I even tried a BIGFOOT. The only thing that worked was when I tried an external 3.5" HD with external power.

But what I want to do is, place the internal Laptop HD inside, but give it an external Power supply directly from the PSU or even from the CD32's PSU. which pins are for power?
CD32 is actually the best Amiga ever made by Commodore!...

Another question is for anyone with an SX32 pro

I noticed two pins fused together on the VSLI or whatever chip (has a sticker HarryMK I)

I dont think these pins are supposed to be fused....the chip I am talking about it the one below the LATTICE chip going towards the SX32 shuttle where the ports are...........the pins that are fused together are on the side closest to the 72 pin SIMM socket.

Like I said.I dont think they are supposed to be fused together............maybe my unit got so hot that they somehow snapped and got stuck to each other....maybe this is the source of my power problems?
