UAE made Walker HD non-bootable
« on: May 22, 2004, 11:50:58 PM »
Hi,

In responce to the numerous people asking for the 3.2 ROM I installed XP on the PC and managed to get WInUAE (latest version) to read the Walker HD in the PC.

I've made a backup of the files and I copied a few files to the HD so I can get the ROM, unfortunately when I plugged the HD back in it no longer boots...

This isn't entirely bad as I've now discovered the Walker has a normal kickstart animation and has a standard Amiga floppy and it will even boot off it - I've only got Workbench 1.3 but it worked fine and it even ran the juggler demo.

But anyway, I need to boot of the HD - how do I make it bootable again?

You`ll have to get HDToolbox running somehow (dunno if it`ll work on UAE?) then select the partition you want, and there should be an option on that window to make that partition bootable.
That is, assuming UAE hasn`t messed about with anything else :-?
On schedule, and suing

Try to get Miami working on it and post a message here about how you're the only person in the world online with a Walker!
