UDF DVDs and AllegroCDFS showing only 8.3 filename format
« on: May 07, 2004, 06:29:57 PM »
Hi!!

I have a question for you amigans... I have a dvdrom drive on my A1200 running with AllegroCDFS, allegro is siposed to read UDF format.. I'm trying to read a DATA DVD which is burned with ISO9660 and UDF standards, however I only see the short filenames (8.3 format, e.g. the iso9660 filenames)... does anyone have an idea what might be wrong? Is it allegro CDFS limited on this matter? I was expecting to see long filenames and all (UDF).

Thanks for any help!

Could be a badly burned DVD. Do other discs work?

I don't know much at all about AllegroCDFS. Is there a prefs program you can use to loosen some restrictions? What about in the DOSDriver or its .info file? Can any variables be adjusted?
