OS3.9 Icon Border
« on: May 05, 2004, 11:55:35 AM »
I'm trying to figure out how to get ridd of icon borders in OS3.9 with BB1 and 2 installed. I thought it was standard with GlowIcons but perhaps I've just missed something?

Where did you find BB2?  Weren't there problems getting it to work right?  I haven't even reinstalled BB1 because of the quirks I ran into with it.

Can you help?  What did you do to make it work right?

Thanks

God made apes, but he used a human to do it.
Man fit the plan, apes are here to prove it.

Yes god made apes but a human supplied the glue.

The only problem I had with installing BB2 was related to the the installer executable.  The install script would run but it would get stuck or crash.

My solution was to pull the installer executable off of the OS 3.9 CD.  After that the install worked like a charm.

Always make sure you have the latest installer.

Boing Bag 1 was running fine here, but Boing Bag 2 had problems. My system was gotten slower. Like something was halting it a second and it was fine the next second, then halted, then freed etc. :-(
So i switched back to Boing Bag 1. :-(

Then i learned that i can extract all updates modules from the Amiga ROM Update file in DEVS:...
So i did extract all files and used them as external modules with Blizkick. With this feature i only had a single reset to wait and the halt-bug was gone (in BB2).
:-D

You can get Boing Bag 2 from:
