Who says no one knows about the AmigaOne outside the Amiga community? Look here

Spirituality is for people who have been there.

Alot of 98 & XP users are getting fetup with all of the spyware out there and the other fact that if you use a PC for a while, it becomes progressivly slower as time goes by. The only way to regain the speed is to format and re-install and re-configure all of the S/W. Since this is a big pain in the @#@, many are looking for anothe platform to use.

The Amiga NEVER gets slower over time! We have come a long way baby, let's keep it up and who knows, we just may beat Bill at his own game?

PS:
Support Amiga OS, Buy your software, and feel good about it!!!!

The poll only mentions "a new PPC based Amiga", so it looks like an excercise in wishful thinking.

The only one who mentions the "AmigaOne" in the comments is "paulsamiga", who seems to have misread the poll options, but I'm sure he's not from The Outside. :)

5 of 11 (sounds like a borg   ) votes on an obscure mac-forum AFTER being poll-flooded from 2 mayor Amiga-sites.

YIIIIIIIIIHHHHAAAAA
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

Come on, Kronos! It was just 10 people when I wrote the comment preceding yours. This means a 10% increase of interest in the poll in a matter of minutes!!!!!1111

The scary thing is that the share of people interested in "a new PPC based Amiga" has dropped from a whopping 50% to a more humble 45% in the same number of minutes. OH NOES!

;)

On a more serious note, Mac owners like everybody else are of course more likely to buy AmigaOS if they can... well... buy it... and install it on the PPC hardware they've already got, instead of downgrading to older, slower and more expensive hardware.
