Mediator 1200LT/Voodoo3 PCI - RTG GUI screws up a lot
« on: May 01, 2004, 03:03:42 PM »
I have just built my A1200 into a tower case with a Mediator 1200 LT and a Voodoo 3 card. I have a problem though. I used to use OS 3.9 in AGA mode and all was fine. Now I use it in RTG mode via Picasso96 and the voodoo.card driver on the MMcd. About 1 in 5 reboots everything is fine, but the rest of the time the GUI is screwed up - the file icons and gadgets vanish (the spots where they should be still work) stuff doesn't refresh and generally it all cacks up very quickly.

Has anyone run into this before?

Full spec:

A1200 Rev 1.D4
Apollo040/40
32MB FastRAM
Eyetech CIA keyboard adapter (EZ-Key ES)
Mediator 1200LT PCI (2 slots inactive)
Voodoo3/2000 PCI (16MB) in lower PCI slot
IDEFix 97 board with 2 HDDs and a CD-ROM drive attached
OS 3.9 with lots of extras

I have tried all the obvious stuff like reseating the Mediator and the GFX card.
