never heard of such a thing for classic amiga's, but iirc correctly there is something like it in OS4... mount rainer iirc.

The current implementation of such a system, before Mount Ranier becomes available, is called UDF, I believe.  It treats a CD-RW like a big floppy disk.  I don't think there are any implementations of it available to Amigas.
