SFS is showed as CFS/00

.  PFS will be shown as CFS either if your don't change it. The DosType is user-choosable and must be unique amongst file systems. HDToolbox always suggests CFS ("Custom File System") for new file systems. *You* have to enter the correct code for it because you are the only one who knows the correct code.

Bye,
Thomas

@ thomas

i was speaking about SFS.

PFS has PFS\00 id 0x43465300

SFS has CFS\00 id 0x50465303

I haven't a SFS\00 in the filesystem list.

understood?

check your HDToolbox revision

@Framiga

May I suggest trying to change the identifier for SFS to 0x53465300 instead? That should give you SFS\00 instead of CFS\00.

It should at least be set to the above identifier if you are using the SFS v1.214 from Aminet.

11.SYSTEM3.9:> SFSconfig SHARE:
Devicename:     SHARE:
SFS version:    1.214
Cache:          32 lines * 8192 bytes readahead size = 262144 bytes.
                Copyback mode enabled.
Fixed options:  (not case-sensitive) (recycled)

The id in the last HDToolbox, are ghosted.

Take a look

Yes, but if you change the identifier for SFS, to the one that is given in the docs for SFS (or below), I'm sure the the CFS\00 will change to SFS\00 as you are using the same version of HDToolBox and SFS as me.

Btw. if you want to edit the identifier, it's impossible :-( You have to remove the filesystem, and then install it again.
