Apollo 4060 board in A3k (towerd)
« on: April 22, 2004, 07:29:10 PM »
Hello, i'm getting such a CPU board soon.

I just read on http://amiga.resource.cx that on the A3k you need a patch wire between the kickrom and the SCSI chip, does anyone know the details about it ? and if this is really needed.

Greetings :-)

My guess is that this is the INT2 hack solution but through a different method.

For installation in an A3000 series machine you will require a chip adaptor which was usually supplied with the card. The SCSI chip on the motherboard and one of the Kickstart ROMs should be removed and inserted into the adaptor, wish is then placed into the empty sockets on the motherboard.
