Oops...sorry man, but this week has been busy...

I have found the disks, I just need to copy them now and put them in an envelope.
So I'll post them this weekend

So, How do you prove you should have a copy of Amiga OS? That is other than face to face showing the other person that you own an Amiga. I think that's the kink in the works.

Uhm...I'm sending him a copy of Workbench1.3 on OFS formatted floppy's...only way he could use them is in an Amiga.

I don't see the problem here, I would have if we talked DMS/ADF files.

No worries about the delay :)

I guess back in the day, whoever originally bought this Amiga would have got Workbench with it (so it was paid for) I guess he just lost the disks.

Well...

1. Nobody sells WB1.3 anymore.
2. He can only use the disks in an Amiga, hence it should be legal.
3. If that annoys you, I'll make some auto-booting floppy with just the freeware programs he needs.
4. If that also annoys you, I'll send him my original WB1.3 disks.
5. Please....this is not piracy. Maybe not 110% legal, but...

Oh, I wan't saying that there is anything wrong with this. I was just taking off on Bloodline's post. Basically, when is it piracy.
Obviously, a PC user using emulation would have a near impossible time trying to use and Amiga formatted disk. There are ways, but not many would have the ablilty to do it. Also, sending a zip, lha, or dms presents basically the same problem to someone with an Amiga with no OS.
So, basically it comes down to if someone pops on asking for an OS disk. You ask them for their POST address and ship them a disk. If they don't like that, then they probably dont' need it as they don't own an Amiga.

I was just brewing discussion.

@Borat!

I've finally done it  :-)

Copied WB1.3 and Extras 1.3, I also included a disk with various utilities such as diskmaster, xcopypro, protracker, bootx, saddam-killer, along with some others useful programs. Actually I compiled that disk 11 years ago

 :-o

And then I made you a bootable disk with NComm on it, so you can start up&downloading with your pecee at home.

I tried my best to check it with Kick1.3 and WB 1.3, but I couldn't get it to work satisfactory in my 4000T. I'm 99,9% sure it'll work fine in your A500.

I'll put it in the mailbox tomorrow. Cheers!
