« on: April 21, 2004, 10:19:39 PM »
Well thats all folks!

My PeeCee is dead... Died just about 10 mins ago. The hard drive is cratered, along with the IDE interface on the board. Im not too suprised or upset, I dont plan to replace it since I have my Macintosh. Rest In Peace PeeCee!!

It's specifications before death:
Intel 533Mhz Celeron
256MB RAM
8.0 GB HDD
Cdrom, Tape drive
Windows 2000
 :-(

Yes, XP has been on this machine before, and 2000 and 98 and Mandrake Linux lol. I guess it couldent take it no more...

Yes, some parts of it will be salvaged, probably the ram, processor and CD-ROM. The tape drive isent worth salvaging.

To be honest Im kinda glad it happened :-)

Perhaps you could use it to rehouse an amiga?

(i use an old p2 400mhz as a `table` for my keyboard, and another tower pc for a mousemat - well, it fits into my japanese style home)

Can`t you just bung in a cheap PCI IDE interface and another HD?
It might even be faster than the original internal one..
