Shaun of the dead
« on: April 18, 2004, 11:07:05 PM »
Comprehensive review:

Synopsis;
Make up with Girl Friend,
Visit Mum,
Sort out life.

If that sounds like a totally bizzare plot for a Zombie film... then you need to see Shaun of the Dead.

This is quite possibly the funniest film I've seen in maybe 5 years.

I can't really say more without spoiling it... so you'll just have to see it.

Come on, someone must have something else to say about it?

I didn't think I would ever hear the line "Kill the queen" in a Romantic comedy :lol:

Top Film!

Went to see it on Saturday with a lass and thoroughly enjoyed it...

I've never laughed so hard in a cinema in my life, Simon Pegg is an absolute genius!

Go and see it now!

It's on General release in the UK, expect a US release in late summer, early autumn. Whenever Universal think it will least hurt sales of Dawn of the Dead.

Shaun of the dead is a better film, despite the greatness of Dawn.

Lvgddgrl may kill you on two levels;

1) Heracy
2) Not taking this conversation to SpookyChick.com

... And you thought surviving a zombie attack would be bad :)

I humbly appologise on both counts, but in my defense:

1. Wait 'till you see Shaun (and yes Dawn is a superb film)
2. How can I leave Amiga.org... I'm trapped :-o

Surviving a zombie attack for an American is easy, you have guns, big cars, you are a dashing all american hero and you have a survival instinct as sharp as a razor... Now imagine you are an Englishman... That is the basic idea of Shaun...

I'll tell you what, this flim had better be bloody spectacular.  I had to sit though "Mona Lisa Smile" last night in exchange for being able to go to see Shaun with the missus later on in the week. The agony!!!

Why did it have to come out when all my Uni mates had buggered off back home for 3 weeks?!?!

BTW, you guys are talking about the original Dawn of the Dead right?

You will love Shaun of the Dead, This film has set a new standard that all zombie films now have to beat. Your girlfriend will probably like Shaun too! (unless she's emotionally retarded).

The original "Dawn of the Dead" movie was on TV recently. I haven't laughed so hard in *ages*. I was still laughing at it the next day - each remembered moment had me bent double with laughter!
