spring cleaning / inventory

Hello, Amiga.org'ers....

As you've probably surmised during reading the forums, I've amassed a huge Amiga (and other computer) collection, and every so often I go through and "thin the herd" and part down some of the models I have a couple examples of or maybe am not as interested in anymore, for whatever reason...  Anyhow, here's the results of my sorting.  All stuff is tested good, unless otherwise noted.  PM me here for images of any items you're interested in.  I can go for sale, trade, partial trade...  I will ship anywhere, but keep in mind, I'm in Detroit, MI, USA.  Shipping costs can get expensive in a hurry!  What doesn't move here will probably go to eBay, or be lost back into the closet for another year or two.  ;-)

1) Amiga 3000 desktop w/ 3.1 ROMS and 16MB in ZIPPs.  stock 25mhz, 1GB SCSI (Quantum), HD floppy, beautiful original case, complete with proper screws and drive bay cover.  Mouse/keyboard available.

2) Amiga 3000 desktop 16mhz, 2.04 ROMS, 0MB ZIPPs, no HD, Std floppy.  good original case, some screws not original, missing drive bay cover, one drive bay has small file marks from where it appears someone fitted a different drive at one point in time.  doesn't boot.  good for parts.  Mouse/keyboard available.

3) PowerMac 7200 w/ 64MB RAM.  1GB Quantum SCSI, 12x CD ROM (SCSI).  RedHat linux installed.  original OS 8 CD.  (Free updates to 8.5 from Apple)  (This system can not run OSX/Darwin)  ADB Mouse/keyboard included.

4) 400mhz complete PC.  ASUS motherboard, geniune P2/400, ATi video, 10/100NIC, soundblaster.  36x CD, 10GB IDE drive, 512MB RAM, floppy drive, clean white ATX case.  Mouse/Keyboard available.

5) Retina Z2 with original disks (RetinaEMU, etc.)

6) NOVA Scan External TBC - untested (Didn't have a blackburst generator handy)  Unit does power up and pass-through a signal.

7) DPS PAR w/ rated IDE drives for video and sound, and all software.

8) NEC 3D monitor - a few small case scuffs, and a slight miscoloration on picture.  Overall, an excellent monitor.

9) CTX Amiga monitor - 15/30khz beautiful condition.

10) various extra Amiga chips and such.

Things I'd currently be very interested in recieving in trade/partial trade...

1) Amiga 3.1 ROMS for A1200.
2) Amiga 3.1 ROMS for A4000.
3) Amiga 1200 68030 Accelerator.
4) Amiga 4000 processor cards.  (preferably faster than 3640)
5) Buffered High-speed serial adaptor for C64.

And, of course, other stuff....  PM me.  I'm flexible.  ;-)

where are you located? Have you checked or changed the batteries in the 3000s?

Ah, good question.  Both 3000s are clean, having the battery removed years ago.

Just a question regarding A3000 and batteries. If the unit has no battery inside, are you able to keep the native scsi controller's settings after powering off, or not? I've heard the controller simply returns to default settings if there's no battery installed to keep what ever you changed through setbatt.

I've heard this, as well.  And, honestly, I don't know.  To be honest, I've always run with default SCSI options.  I really never saw any settings that needed to be changed.  :-)

Well you can enable/disable sync transfer, fast scsi-2 mode, and basically push the controller to its limits, providing that your drives support it. ;-) Try setbatt, it's neat. :-)

By popular demand, pictures of the Amiga 3000's.  If you want any more detailed shots, please let me know.

#1, 25mhz casework.
#1, 25mhz model chassis.  (Despite not being shown, I have the proper Zorro card covers for the slots, I just forgot to put them in before snapping the picture.)
#2, 16mhz model chassis.

I have an original Amiga 3000 mouse (the geniune A3000 strange shaped mouse) and keyboard I can toss in, as well.  As well as the 3ring binder of A3000 information that originally came packaged with the machine.

Now, a correction.  The A3000 #1 has a newer, clean battery installed in it.  Nevertheless, this battery appears to be dead, and I can snip it out, if requested.  The bad news, it only has 8MB in ZIPPs in it.  I also have some additional untested ZIPPs.  (For some reason I thought I had a full 16 on it.  Sorry about that!)
