Hey guys I'm getting a new dvd player soon that outputs RGB via SCART (both progressive and interlaced, switchable). 2 questions;
1. I have a Commodore 1084S-D2 monitor and I'm wondering if a progressive signal will kill it or will it work correctly? I've seen around that these monitors display about 512 lines interlaced, but not sure about progressive.
2. Is progressive scan the same as vga? And in that case should I be using a vga monitor when I watch progressive scan dvd's? Or will I kill the VGA monitor aswell?
I've been using my monitor and xbox as a rgb interlaced dvd player with no problems, so I'm not anticipating any problems with the new player in interlaced mode.
Thanks guys
