« on: April 12, 2004, 02:30:28 AM »
A3000 needs good home for free.  Will pack and ship anywhere -- you prepay via UPS or similar.  Comes with 40M hard drive, keyboard, mouse, citizen color dot matrix, C compiler and assembler, Amiga Basic, crossDos, all OS documentation on headers, libraries, hardware (the big black books), lots of disks, excelence office software, games.

Where are you at?  If close enough, I'd be glad to come pick it up and take it off your hands!  I've never had an A3000 and been wanting one, too.

If you're too far for a pickup, of course I'd take you up on the shipping as you mentioned, of course.

I've always wanted a 3000.  You tell me how much for shipping to area code 33411 in the US.

Crap, looks like I'm a tad late.
Your located where? Most likely not near me.

Gotta set those notifications so I know about stuff like this. At least your better than the last few free give aways. They were, I will not ship so come pick it up or I toss it in the trash.

@NightShade737

Agreed - it's not fair to toy with those of us who end up not living nearby/in the same country! (See sig and extra info to see why.)

So, what happened?  I'm in Canada if that's any help.  Did somebody get this thing or is it still available?

Yeah it would also be nice to answer PM's to :lol: Do you still have it ?

I'm sure that puppy costs like about $35-40 to ship.
I mean if it's as heavy as the 4000?

A3000 is still available.  UK is not off limits, you just have to pay for shipping (FedEx, Burlington, UPS, etc.).  I didn't expect a large response, and this is great.  There is only 1 machine, so we'll make a contest out of it.  Highest bidder is too easy and not very fun, unless you'll pay a million.

I will box it all and weigh it so you can figure out your cost.  You must set up the shipping.  I should simply have to contact or deliver the box(es) to your shipper (you give me the contact information, don't make me work), give the shipper your confirmation number or whatever, and that should be that.

Tell me about your talents: coding, art, just playing games, writing, etc..., so I can come up with the contest and rules.  I'll post details after I figure them out.

Don't forget the dimensions of the box. That will be important if oversized or long.

When was the last time it was used? If you don't mind, why are you parting with this setup? Is it a 030/16 or 030/25? Has the battery been replaced?

Well, despite being the first to respond to the message and offer to pay the shipping, as you requested, I am withdrawing my interest in the A3000 system.  I have no time or desire to compete with others in some kind of contest.  I wish the rest of you good luck.
