Hello,
yes, running an MySQL is possible with an Amiga. I have Apache and MySql running on my Amiga (060/50, 144 MByte) and it works quite good.
There is a newsgroup for Amiga-Mysql:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Amiga_MySql/

When my Amiga is online (most the time) you can access it as

http://selco.ath.cx

There is a Mysql-Database you can test. (DB now, DB next hour, list used frequencies)

I cannot help you with any problems you could have with AmigaApache and MySQL (to much a beginner on that area myself, but at least you do now know that it can be done :)

Yep, I have tried.

Haven't quite gotten things to work since my A4k crashes at certain points. Don't know if it's mysql or Apache/php that is the problem. I've tried the 4.x port of mysql and I'm going to try the 3.x and see if that works better.

I'm running Apache 1.3.20 with PHP 4.05. Haven't gotten any newer port than that to work at all. PHP 4.1 would be prefered.

I've talked to others that runs the same setup without having the problems I have so there's probably some patch that I don't have installed that makes it work for them, but how am I supposed to find that out... (Yep, I've removed all patches from my system and it still doesn't work).

Do you give enough stack to the programs. Ported UNIX apps using ixemul.library often need lots of cache.
Trust me...                                              I know what I\'m doing
