It must be disconcerting to say the least. From a fear of the unknown point of view, you're out in the middle of darkness with nothing for thousands of miles. You just don't know what's out there.
And then there's the practical point of view. If you're unlucky enough to be in a space station that suffers a hull breach, just hope your brain comes out your ears first before you get to see your colon. That can't be a comforting thought.
