Old programs on MUI public screen?
« on: March 31, 2004, 09:48:38 PM »
Is it possible to make an old pal like Protracker open on it's own MUI pubscreen?

With UAE, yes. Otherwise: no way.

You could route the native video thru TV Card though, but in this case the app is not really running on the MUI pubscreen.

ModePro might help. It won't get it onto an MUI screen, but you might at least be able to get it onto an RTG mode. It may not work, though, as a lot of custom Amiga native screens don't promote very well.

True. For example Protracker won't promote.

Promote? I have zero understanding of what you mean :|
But I guess it won't work unless the program's code itself is modified.
I guess if I bought a scandoubler it would let me use PT on my VGA monitor.. together with intros/demos that is opened in PAL mode also
