I'm attempting to install my Mediator 4000Di 3V with one PCI Voodoo 3000 on my A4000D but I'm getting some strange behaviors.
Before this installation, I tested the PCI Voodoo 3000 with one Prometheus 4000 from Hese and one PPC mounted on a PCI adapter, and all ran well (run Quake PCC).
To install my Mediator 4000 with only the PCI voodoo board, I started with a clean Amiga OS 3.2.2.1
installed the ELBOX sw (MMCD+MM_UP_26) and updated manually the pci.library (13.15)and the latest voodoo (drivers downloaded from the Elbox web site)
Before running the MedConfig configuration, I opened one shell and tried pciinfo to see if the PCI boards were detected, but no boards were detected
Strange. Does anyone have a clue about what I missed?
Continued to configure and run MedConfig (only the system drivers and the graphic board) and rebooted
after reboot, I opened one shell window and ran pciinfo again, but now I got a ramlib error "Program failed (error #80000004). wait for disk activity to finish"
every time the error shows the system hanged (need to reboot)
Tried ScanPCI tool, and the same error appeared
Have been diagnosing this for some time with the help of Elbox
they even sent me two new CPLD chips but the behaviour remained the same
during our tests, Elbox asked me to delete the Envarc:Mediator/Buster
The result was that pciinfo stopped showing the error but still continued not to detect the PCI boards
Without the Buster file (contains only "11" because I have one Super Buster 11 on my A4000) some information shows (the Mediator board is detected)
But no PCI boards are detected as well
How can I test my Super Buster 11? Is there any method to test this chip?
As I mentioned above, I have been using this A4000D with other configurations without any problems (even with a Prometheus with a PPC)
Any ideas are appreciated
