Sound has disappeared
« on: February 01, 2025, 06:21:04 PM »
Hi,

I've spent a lot of time enjoying the A600GS, but unfortunately I've ran into an issue.

The sound has disappeared.

I usually use a head-set connected to the audio-out port at the back. This no longer work. Have connected another pair, as well as speakers to it, but still there is no sound.

Have checked that the audio is set to go through audio-out and not HDMI, as well as MUTE etc.

Tonight I tested the unit with a Samsung The Frame TV and chose sound through HDMI, but that did not work either.

Have also re-installered the latest updates of AmiBerry and A600GS through the Advanced Updating section.

I'm lost on what to try next, so hope for some advice here. :-) Thanks in advance.

Hello

On the top right hand corner of the screen is an audio mute icon.  Please press that.

Perhaps some of the wires between the header and the audio-plug have come loose from the header?

Woohoo! Worked straight away! 😀 Can't believe I haven't noticed that button before. Many thanks Amigakit!
