Pegasos support might be removed from Linux, please speak up
« on: December 12, 2024, 10:12:33 AM »
Hello,

there are currently plans to remove support for the CHRP platform [1] from the Linux kernel. The corresponding discussion was initiated in [2].

This change is relevant for the Amiga community because Pegasos systems are based on CHRP and a Linux kernel without CHRP support could no longer boot on a Pegasos system.

If someone here, like me, owns a Pegasos and does not want support for it to be removed from the Linux kernel, please post a reply in the thread. You can reply to Michael Ellerman's mail using the “Reply Instructions” at the bottom of the page.

If you do not have a Linux system with a working "git-mail" command, you can simply reply to the thread with any e-mail program and use the address after the “to” or “cc” parameters as the recipient. If you use Thunderbird you can also specify the reference after the “in-reply-to” parameter. You can find out how to do this here.

Adrian
