Amifox and datatype
« on: September 29, 2024, 04:09:02 PM »
With Amifox i get with almost all websites an error in screen about datatype.

For example when i go to aminet.net and click browse on the left side the message comes.

This website for example forum.amiga.org is not working for me with Amifox.
I get datatype message.

How can i solve this?

Working fine for me (even forum.amiga.org) ...

Start SnoopDos (Utilities Folder on SYS: ) and have a look if it finds the AK-ILBM.datatype ...

The picture.datatype is also failing for me, that is not the problem I think ...

But for me he is searching for AK-ILBM.datatype and not ilbm.datatype, what Version of AmiFox is that ? Maybe the reconstruction of your SYS Partition didn“t went very well ( https://forum.amiga.org/index.php?topic=76793.0 ) and you still miss some files there ?

This is what is happening when i click on something.

The fails are not good i guess.
All that those lines say are that the programs looked for some environment variable, presumably containing settings, and didn't find it, so it just concludes that you haven't (yet) saved any settings for that datatype and moves happily along.

Whatever happens next has noting to do with those FAIL lines.

Best regards,

Niels

have to set width and height 600 x 500.
Tried 1280 x 1024 but that result in thumbnail view.  Same for 1024 x 768.  So i stick with 600 x 500.
