@SkulleateR

I'm happy to report that Simon the Sorcerer II works on the A600GS from AmiBench. :) Installed it from CD (ISO). Selected 320 x 256 (I think) resolution and UAE sound when I started it.

This goes on my list for playing for sure, as it looks brilliant!

PS: F5 to skip the long (but funny!) intro.

RCross works! 8) A600GS gamepad works straight away in-game. The archive comes with two version; 040 and 060. Both runs fine here.

@SkulleateR

Thanks! :D

I have tested the AmiMSX 3.1 Pro emulator.

On Aminet the text says 3.2, but in the software I've got it says 3.1 Pro.

I tried running Knightmare from Konami on it and I'm pleased to say that this game played very nicely. 8) Settings (emulation speed etc.) might need tweaking for various games, but that is normal with emulators. The window of the emulator configuration screen is not always in center and needs dragging up and down. All in all, I'd say AmiMSX works fine! :)

It's great to have the possibility of playing MSX classics on AmiBench.

Thanks, AmiMSX added  :)

I also tried Speed Haste but it refuses to work and crashes on title screen when pressing a key :(

But it works really well on the A600GS when started from a real Workbench like 3.2 instead of AmiBench, so at least we can run it on the A600GS (and it runs really good (!))

Added ZX-Live (Spectrum Emulator) to the non-working apps (black screen) ... works good on A600GS with real WB !

Any idea what screen mode it uses? Could be unsupported mode in AROS perhaps.

According to ModePro it opens a PAL LowRes screen ....

Has anyone tested Bars & Pipes?  Doing a few searches didn't pull anything up.

Did a quick check on B&P 2.5 Pro and no, it´s not working on AmiBench (see screenshot). It doesn´t crash but it isn't usable ...

But you can of course always use another Workbench and use it there ...

If the source code is available we can see if we can get it working on AmiBench.

You can try contacting Alfred Faust (the Author), he already made a version for AROS i386 ... his homepage is here : http://bnp.hansfaust.de

Thank you both for your replies.  I am literally asking for a friend who does a lot of midi work and has exclusivly used B&P for decades.

With the fully functional serial port of the A1200NG, the combination would be a good option for him. 👍
