Everything I listed in my first post in this topic  ;D

- Missing quality of life features:
    - Ability to invert mouse scroll direction ("natural" scroll).
    - Progress bar when adding HDFs. Anything over a few MB takes a while and there's no indication that anything is happening.
    - Timer or something when opening a large folder from USB stick. Bonus points if you swap the mouse pointer for a "thinking" cloud ;)
    - Ability to choose smaller icons or perhaps a list view in the games selector.
    - Access to amiberry interface for additional tweaking when games need it.
    - Ability to map keyboard keys to joystick (as per UAE, cursor keys + ctrl)
    - Ability to filter/start typing when selecting an adf to import. Long lists are painful to scroll through.
    - Ability to map a joystick button to Up (and disable Up on the joypad)
    - Disk drive noise  8)
- Issues:
    - Audio pops on jack output when no sounds have played for a while (a few seconds) and then you click on a disc or something. Not good for my speakers!
    - File selector is case-sensitive so upper-case appears before lower-case.
    - Sounds sometimes repeat, e.g. select a game, sometimes the disk sound happens twice.

And here's another tiny feature request: file selectors should remember your last position and start from there next time.

For example, say I have ADFs in a folder like Downloads/ADFs/Games/S/. First I insert Settlers disk 1, I have to navigate through those folders, scroll through a hundred ADFs to find it. For disk 2 I have to do all of that again. If the dialog remembered my folder and position in the scroll list, disk 2 would be right there already.

Doing this once isn't a problem. When you're playing Amiga games every day and you do this a lot, it's very annoying ;)

The file sector need a through rework, but I agree with your concept.

Bear in mind though that in a A600GS GUI when you add a a game you can add all 15 disks (if it has that many) and use the diskchanger to quickly select between the selected disks.

Yeah, not too bad if I'm just setting up a new game in the list as I just have to do it once. This is more of a pain for "messing about with Amigas" uses. For example, the other day I set up an A500 system and was browsing through some old magazine coverdisks for nostalgia.

I'm not sure if this is a request or existing features I can't find:

- Mass add WHDLoad LHAs to the menu. I've got loads via the WHDLoad Download Tool, which I use for my A500Mini, can I just import them all?

- Also with WHDLoad, can you set the "custom=" field, or change a setting to see the WHDLoad options when you launch?

- And I guess, seconding (or whatever-ing) the request to allow multiple HDFs to be added.

- Themes for the main A600GS menu? Just in case you wanted something different to the dark theme. I guess same goes for Amibench itself (which I haven't even checked!)

I probably just need to spend more time tinkering.

How about support for two mice? Bit of two player Lemmings!

Is there support for an emulated or real MT32?

I've seen the option for serial TCP under the game settings, can you use a USB-to-serial for null modem games?

For me the most obvious quality of life feature request would be a browser and I too would concur with the rabbit hole/chrome option found in amikit
Amigaone X5000 4GB with Radeon HD 7750 and Amiga OS 4.1 FE Pre-Release

Amigaone 500 2GB with Radeon 5450 and Amiga OS 4.1 FE update 1

Amiga 1200 with ACA 1231/42 accelerator and Amiga OS3.9

Amiga CD32

Second that, a computer without a web browser doesn't make much sense.

How about being able to further categorise games? Create your own for instance, like different genres etc

Also, maybe a speedier way to load save states, rather than exiting the game to load them.

Unless I'm missing an menu option?

Some extra features for WHDload. Like adding more memory and such (some games get an out of memory issue on my A600GS) like Indiana Jones series (fate of Atlantis and more) .

I guess with that, adding extra memory for HDF, ADF setups too, loads of extra ZorRAM and the like.

Yes, I'd like to second that. Also, the following features I find very useful on the A500 mini and would love to see with the A600/1200 GS as well:

  • Ability to crop away black borders and zoom the actual game area to fullscreen (saved individually per game, of course, it makes quite a difference to play games like R-Type fullscreen or with the black borders you're normally getting). It would be perfect to be able to do this while the on-screen-menu is showing and the games is paused. Then you'd have all the time to adjust the image to your liking. This would make it even better than the A500 mini feature where it's a bit of a trial-and-error thing to do.
  • Access to the AmiBerry menu: I know this has been mentioned before, but I'd like to second this once more. I'm sure quite some games could be tweaked to perform better that way.
  • Ability to map buttons to your liking. Ideally from the F12 on-screen-menu, without having to quit the current game.

And some things not in comparision with the A500 mini:
  • I'd like to second AmigaBill's request for the F12 menu to wrap around (jump the the top item when pressing Down on the last item in vice versa). Although it's such a small thing, I find myself still getting irritated by it.
  • Another one he already mentioned and I'd like to second: the main icons of the main menu jumping around when moving the mouse to its area. They really should be positioned at the same location no matter if the menu is opened or closed. I wouldn't mind the gaps between them. Even after several months of using the A600GS by now I still find myself moving the mouse to an icon and being annoyed be the fact that said icon is then lo longer where it just was.
  • Now with the ARM improved MP3 playback ability (which is great!): an MHI device that could be used with HippoPlayer (and others) to route MP3 playback would seem like the next logic step, right?

Sorry if any of this sounds too negative, it should not. In general I am greatly enjoying the A600GS and especially that it's in very active development and we're getting updates all the time. Keep up the good work, you're doing great!

Cheers,
Michael

I can't download any version of AmiFox. I click on download links below and nothing happens. I tried using many different browsers and disabled all blockers etc.

Also, what version of AmiFox is for AmiBench if I somehow manage  to make it download?

Thanx
