Hello,
I know that there are various expansions for CD32, but I decided to make my own memory card, for the following reasons:
- the price should be as low as possible
- I am only interested in Fast RAM, because I want my console to remain just a console, if I want CF cards etc., I will buy A1200
- currently there are memory-only cards on the market, but they are quite expensive
- and the most important thing is the satisfaction that it worked

- the memory expansion itself causes a significant increase in the CD32's operating speed
The acceleration of the 2MB version on the 16bit bus was about 1.7x, and the target is to be 4MB on the 32bit bus
It looks terrible in the pictures, but this is just a prototype, the final solution will be on the expansion connector (I managed to buy the edge connector itself, and it was very cheap)
Of course, if someone doesn't mind the "spider", you can build such a memory card based on a cheap PCB for flashes available on the market.
Results from SysInfo:
- original CD32 compared to A1200 = 0.88x (it's actually interesting that the original CD32 performs so poorly compared to the very similar in design and hardware A1200)
- CD32 with my Fast RAM 2MB 16bit card to A1200 = 1.51x
Best regards,
Maciek
