I think he is looking for a way to disable the PowerUP kernel which is built-in in his arriving BlizzardPPC card.

I strongly recommend BlizKick. :-)

@Ryu

Thats not the only reason to use BlizKick; putting your ROM into fastram means that the libraries on it can be accessed (and executed) by the CPU more quickly. Also, you can install the OS3.9 ROM updates, and optional extra boot modules and have only one reboot.

If you add an Algor you can have all that stuff with NO reboot :-D

I have the 3.1 roms. I just wanted to make my 1230/50MHz a little bit faster.

I don´t know when or if, my board from vesalia arrives. So I still want to suck all the juice from my 1230.

I´m not expecting a much faster system, but I hope there is some gaining on copying the roms to fastram?

Hi jonssonj,

sorry for this but . . why don't you chosen COD with Vesalia?

It is a little more expensive but more reliable.

Ciao

Blizkick without a doubt. Have used it ever since I noticed it and it works fantastic. It is not leaving my Amiga's ever again.

No, that just enables/disabled Maprom (mapping of the rom into fast ram). It doesn't actually do it.

Exactly.  Set that jumper, then use Blizkick.  :)

@Framiga
I ordered the card COD first, but nothing happened, and then I sent another mail to them asking why, and then I got a reply that COD to Sweden, no longer was possible. That's why I payed them in advance.

I already have the jumper set, I was just curious about which program was the best alternative, or if it matter at all.

I will test the Blizkick tonight.

blizkick without a doubt but I never used the others since it fulfilled my needs of performance peaks. It has lots of modules and fixes and the only thing you need is a little bit more ram.
