Team 6502.org has reported that Chuck Peddle passed away on 15th December.  I also see it on Wikipedia, and on Twitter.  I am somewhat shocked that this news has apparently not broken in the wider Commodore community, including this one.
I grew up with Commodore computers and the direction I have taken in life has been hugely influenced by the experiences I had with these machines as a child (especially the AMIGA).  I became an electronics engineer and computer programmer, and I think I owe a lot to the inspiration I had from my first 'proper' computer - the C64.
I once built my own computer based on the 6502.  It didn't really do much, but I learned a ton from it.  And assembly on the 6502 was a joy to me at the time.
Thanks Chuck.
