Do you have a Pegasos?

Do you have a Pegasos?

Have you joined the RC5 effort yet? No? Then please do! :-)

We are moving forward at great speed, the current daily high score is
about 3,500 blocks(!!!) and only PPC/Linux and other "biggies"
crunches more keys per day (but the daily numbers of PPC/Linux will
soon be overtaken).

Click here to see the latest MorphOS stats!

Yet we don't seem to be too many who are contributing, which is a
pity, since the client is so easy to set up and then you will hardly
notice it. We could be moving forward *a lot* faster than this! With
YOUR help! :-)

for step-by-step instructions of how to install
and set up the client. When you have the client up and running,
click here and announce your presence in the effort! In that thread
you will also find answeres to most of the questions and problems you
might run into.

The client was released the 19th of January, but as you can see on
the statistics page, we have already overtaken lots of platforms, and
more are bound to be "eaten" soon. As I said, the current daily high
score is almost 3,500 blocks, but let's make that 5,000 daily blocks
in time for the two months anniversary! It can certainly be done, if
only more than than the current 67 users decides to get into the game!

Note that you can also join a team, like the "Amiga RC5 Team effort"
and help making our platform visible to the big cold world outside!:-)
The Amiga RC5 Team effort

Just do it! :-)

Yes - I do have a Pegasos.
Yes - I do have that crazy cow installed.
Yes - I do belong to the Amiga RC5 Team effort.
Yes - I do think all Peg users should do the same :-)

and

Yes - the rate with which Pegasos/MorphOS moves forward in the CPU/OS statistics is very impressive, despite being the youngest of all platforms.

Check out the CPU/OS statistics here and here.

Hmm, I'll probably hook up my old Peg1 G3 and dedicate it to this
effort as well, since it's only laying around here anyway ...

That'd mean almost as much blocks/day in addition as the whole AmigaOS68K or AmigaOSPPC community produces... So I say, go for it :-)

... and now we have passed PPC/Amiga! :-)

During the next two days we will pass both the X86/QNX and
the MIPS/IRIX platforms, and a week after that the Sparc/Linux
platform, and some days after that, the X86/BSD/OS platform! Mooo! :-D

But we need your help! If you have a Pegasos, just download the app
and have it running in the background. You won't even notice it. And
then you could leave your computer turned on when you leave it for a
while, instead of shutting it down. It really makes a difference!

One other thing, some people seems to think that you if join Team
Amiga then that team will get all the credit and not the
Pegasos/MorphOS platform. Luckily, this is not the case. When the
client installed on your computer sends its data to the server, the
data is registered to your personal e-mail address/"account". The
client also sends info about the platform you are using, which
hardware and which OS, and the blocks you sent in is added to the pile
of that platform statistics. If you *choose to* you can also join a
team, like the Amiga RC5 effort. You will *still* get your individual
stats, and you will *still contribute to the platform stats, but you
will *also* contribute to the team! So please consider that! Join the
Team Amiga!

Regards,

MorphOS is Amiga done right! :)

Q> Do you have a Pegasos?

No.

And never will

But I have 24 Amigas and soon will have an AmigaONE + AmigaOS4 :-P

Will look at the RC5 effort at that time :-)

Just a little status update for those of you who are interested!

We just hit two flies in one single stroke! The MIPS/IRIX and the X86/QNX platforms were overtaken in one single stat update! :-)
