Buy new Monitor for Amiga 2000
« on: February 03, 2018, 08:39:31 PM »
I have an A2000 and looking at buying a new Monitor to support my Picasso II card. Can you suggest a few models?

Thanks

Philippe

If you can get one from the U.K (http://www.amazon.co.uk)., I whole-heartedly recommend the BenQ BL912 LCD multi-scan VGA monitor for its beautiful picture.

OK, I just ordered and will let you know how I make out.

I *assume* I will need to play around configuring my Picasso card to support the Horizontal Scan rate of 15,6kHz and the more common 31kHz?

I just got a Picasso II working with a Dell LCD monitor.  I used this wonderful guide to work through it.. For 640x480, I had to do a lot of tweaking once I got it close enough for the monitor to accept the signal.  I don't think I needed to tweak 1024x768 very much at all.

I am a friend of the 19" TFT NEC multiSync LCD 1970NXp 1280x1024 Monitor..... the extention "NXp" is important, you can plug this Monitor directly to the Videoport of any Amiga by using the Commodore-VGA Adapter. No Flickerfixer/Scandobler needed.

 15 Euro :)
