With a strong dollar it's better for you, because you can usually buy from the EU cheaper than you can buy from home.

Just the opposite my friend!

Even though the US stock market climbs higher everyday, our USD buys less and less of the BP and EUR everyday!

9 months ago the exchange rate between the BP and the EUR was damn near at parity with the USD. Good time to buy euro goods on ebay.

Today the exchange rate with the EUR is .80 EUR to 1 USD. The exchange rate with the BP is .70 BP for 1 USD. Personally, I'm not going to buy anything euro on ebay at this time.

That's what brings European investment back to the US! :)

I'm gonna invest and spend my USD right here in the good 'ole USA! :laugh1:
(The only thing that stinks is that we don't manufacture damn near anything here in the US anymore - but hopefully that will change). Look at Samsung and LG... they get a 50% US tariff slapped on them so what did they do? They are both building 1/2 billion dollar manufacturing plants here in the US!

You can watch the exchange rates right here everyday. I do!

Yeahhh, those jobs ain't coming back, buddy.  :(  :(  :(  Although for my part, I'd love to see more high tech items manufactured over here and would certainly buy them if given the choice.

I could use some computer parts from the EU right now; the parts are $20 bucks but shipping is close to $30.  Guess no computer parts for me, y'all need to stop hoarding all the good stuff over there!

Also, this thread is really going off topic now.

You were saying the dollar was strong, from what you're saying now it's weak. Foreign investors need to buy US dollars to buy stock, if the US dollars are cheap then that makes the stock cheaper for them than investing in their own country but creates demand and so the price will go up (although it may or not make up for the value lost in currency).

You can say that again! But hey, if you own a money tree, here's an IndiECS out of Germany, including shipping, that will only set you back about $400.00 USD! I'm considering keeping my Miggy gear in safety deposit boxes! :laugh1:

Notice how everything sells in EUR, or better yet, BP for maximum exchange rate profit!? :hammer: Oh well, that's what happens when we have a strong dollar here at home.

Talk about insane inflation there.... NO I am not talking about national currencies or anything. Am am talking about inflation on Amiga hardware alone. That price!!!! :furious:

More than doubled in less than 3 month's. Individual computers sold the last one at a price of 99 euro, in like late november of 2017 or something.

No wonder that Jens will make new ones, and have stated that it is stupid to go second hand at those prices. Yea, yeah.... Shure it is not avaliable new anymore. Just to have the guts to ask that price. Wow... Talk about the corpse not being cold, before starting to pick the bones. :furious:

I would say that aprox 120 euro would be a decent price for the next model, or perhaps even 140 euro. Paying 295 euro for a used one is just plain old insane.
