Source for Blizzard 1260 memory?
« on: December 28, 2017, 09:22:01 PM »
Hi, all,

I've been using a 128 meg SIMM that has super thin chips on my Blizzard 1260 for a couple of decades. The SIMM is ever so slightly bent because it's not flat because it hits the '060.

Even after recapping my A1200, it still dumps core while compiling now and then. Thinking (hoping, since that's easiest) that it might be the memory, I took out the 128 meg SIMM on the Blizzard 1260 so I'm only using the 128 megs on the SCSI expansion, and I've been compiling for a couple of days without a core dump.

Does anyone have any recommendations for where I might be able to find either a single sided 128 meg SIMM (which isn't the same thing as single banked - it's entirely possible to have a dual banked, single sided SIMM) or another double sided SIMM with super thin chips?

You've probably already tried this, but is there any sort of model # or part # on the memory stick you already have?  Have you tried googling/ebay/amazon/etc. to find an identical one?  Good luck!  :)

Thanks for that MemoryX source.  I've been looking for thin 128 meg SIMMs for my Blizzard 060's, too.

Happy New Year!
