I'm looking forward to seeing your completed project.
Trevor, are you going to make a cameo?  ;)

@Thread

At least the Amiga got pride of place in City Slickers in 1991!

It's not really Jurassic Park or Star Trek though is it? Wasted opportunities. Even Atari fot the Portfolio in Terminator 2. There should be a special sin bin reserved for Commodore's marketing team / consultants. Muppets.

They probably had insider informations the computer cameo makes it looking dumbass...

And infacts Macintosh in the movie made no great appearance looking ancient and obsolete for 24th century.

On the other side the movie production already used Amigas for Special Effects even if uncredited. I spotted Garnet Font in the Supercomputer from Vulcan that Spock uses to train the logic!

Guys, hold onto your excitement just a bit longer. Haven't received confirmation if the powers at be will be able to send an x5000 yet. I would rather get one from a retailer willing to give it up for marketing purposes, because I don't  want to be held responsible if it gets damaged  during the shoot, especially if it's from a fellow amigan. Crossing fingers...

@Raffaele

No it just shows they were morons. They would have had exposure of theAmiga being a representation of what computers were capable of in 1986! Now they ARE voice controlled via Siri etc which is STILL an Apple product. No Commodore because NO forward thinking!!

Guys, anyone want to help design the wallpaper desktop to feel like a nsa computer? Something black and sleek? Needs to feel modern and original. Also need some sort of script that will scroll some sort of script that looks like a hacking sequence. Let me know your thoughts. A-eon is working hard to get a system to us.

However, there was the Commodore PET 2001 in Admiral Kirk's apartment in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.  :)

I think it's worth asking Trevor if the A-EON developer team can come up with something since they have artist and programmers who should be able to make something that fits your requirements.

The Ringhio progress bar and animation features could be put to good use alongside scrolling text and whatever else makes for a good hacking sequence.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPoDllMwKic

You can change the shell so the background is black and have whatever colour you think looks best for the text.  You can also adjust the transparency of active and windows which will make things look better.

Is there the opportunity to slip some A-EON Technology branding on the background of the computer screen to suggest that is the name of the company being hacked or do you not have the flexibility to do that?

Showing specific branding is up to legal, though Trevor is getting us a release from A-eon and Hyperion, I'll try my best to shoot enough footage to get options for the client. The one thing really going for us is that the creative director I work with on all these spots loves the vintage vibe and is going to really love the idea of having an Amiga to shoot it with. I'm going to shoot various options so that we get the full view of the computer as well as closeups of the OS and legal will have to decide of what we can and can't show with the release from Trevor. One thing for sure is that it won't look anything like Windows and Mac OS which actually works in our favor. That's why I want to really create a background and look that feels original and doesn't swing so close to someone in legal saying we can't use it.
